WILL EISNER. Title/date/description: Preliminary pencil drawing for the 2nd page of "Collisions," page 68 in City People Notebook (1989). The observer figure holding the sketchbook in the opening panel is Eisner himself. Probably the tightest pencilled page of the 8-page story.

Size/medium/condition: The under drawings are done in blue-leaded pencil, while the tighter compositions are in black pencil on an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet of white paper. See "Provenance" for location of sister page. Price: $300

Provenance: The inked original "Collisions" page corresponding to this preliminary drawing is part of the permanent collection of the Library of Congress in Washington D.C.
