WET SATIN: Women's Erotic Fantasies No. 1 (1976).

When publisher Denis Kitchen invited Trina Robbins to edit this anthology of "women's erotic fantasies," she was up for the task, but he had no idea what trouble he would encounter. Trina created the Marlon Brando cover, contributed "Rawhide Revenge" and a centerfold illustration herself and ably attracted such talent as Cathy Millet ("Chaste Sex Education"), Margery Peters ("Ain't Life Grand?"), Lee Marrs ("Flight or Fantasy"), Joey Epstein ("Night or Dynamite"), Terry Richards [wife of Dopin' Dan artist Ted Richards], Shelby Sampson ("Nose Fuck"), Joyce Farmer ("A Mature Relationship"), Melinda Gebbie ("The Cock-Pit") and Becky Wilson (logo and back cover).

Kitchen expected no problem when he turned the contents over to the same Port Washington WI printer who had unhesitatingly printed Bizarre Sex Comics, and all manner of underground comix by R. Crumb and others. But the printer refused to print this unabashed erotica "because it was by women!!" For the first time ever Kitchen Sink Press was forced to use an outside printer, in California, at considerable inconvenience. Kitchen subsequently allowed friendly rival Last Gasp to publish the sequel.
