Denis Kitchen Serigraph: Steve Krupp S/N

Price: $50.00

Quantity:

"Steve Krupp" Serigraph by Denis Kitchen (1995). Kitchen, best known as a publisher, began his career in the late '60s as a cartoonist. And Steve Krupp didn't always host a web Gallery & Curio Shoppe. Kitchen originally drew this image as the cover for the third issue of Comix Book, an experimental "underground comix" magazine Kitchen edited for ---would you believe?--- Marvel Comics in 1974. This cover was inspired by Stan Lee's rejection of a risquè Bill Stout cover proposal. Steve Krupp here acts as a stand-in for Lee. In 1995 Kitchen recolored the image as a signed & numbered serigraph, minus the Comix Book logo. There are ten hand-pulled colors on heavy rag paper. Limited to 100 signed and numbered copies. Sheet size 8 5/16" x 10 7/8" (image area 6.25" x 7 3/8"). Shipped in mylar surrounded by heavy cardboard.
