Button No. 217. Bushmiller HIPPIE. In 1991 Kitchen Sink Press published the classic Nancy collection Bums, Beatniks & Hippies. It’s very difficult to find copies of this book now, especially at affordable prices…but we have a set of three promotional buttons. To the brilliant-but-square cartoonist Ernie Bushmiller, bums, beatniks and hippies were fairly indistinguishable: all had excess hair, ragged clothes, and didn’t like to work. But we Nancy devotees can absolutely tell the three disreputable groups apart: this stoned-out fellow is a certified pot-smoking HIPPIE. 

1.25” diameter.
