299. WAITING FOR SLUGGO FEST! (2024)

No one begrudges the enormous attention Nancy received when hundreds of her fans swarmed at “Nancy Fest,” held at the Billy Ireland Museum in Columbus Ohio in May 2024. But some feel her longtime companion/boyfriend Sluggo was given short shrift. We are agnostic on that question, but nevertheless, some hardcore fans are clammoring for a Sluggo Fest. From the likes of this button, Sluggo himself isn’t taking the idea too seriously. But, hey, as a side note, is that tin can on his head an homage to Frederick Burr Opper’s Happy Hooligan?
